Libertades literarias: Afrolatinoamérica escribe

Fall 2020.  Afrodescendent writing in Latin America explores formal literary decisions as opportunities to exercise authority, no matter how inevitable the content may be. Choices of form and technique are freedoms that ignite dreams, thought, reflection, and memory to outstrip existing conditions. They presage agency in a range of social constructions.

Art and Science of Making

Fall 2019. This course  taught students how to make and think about things in the arts and sciences that promote public engagement. Students met, made, learned and reflected with leading makers across disciplines.  Weekly maker studios gave students lessons in making with tools that ranged from standard machine to sophisticated bioengineering tools.
